The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role is based in the Vector Center of Excellence (Vector CoE), part of Bain’s broader "Data & Technology" umbrella within the BCN. The Vector CoE provides specialized support on Tech Strategy, Transformation, and Roadmap projects for Bain clients across industries. The Vector CoE team acts as the analytical and delivery arm of Bain’s Vector Practice, providing expertise in:
- Building and deploying Enterprise Technology diagnostics
- Delivering core technology products for consulting teams
- Working directly with clients to support technology transformations
- Integrating new and emerging technologies such as AI and automation into diagnostics
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Competitive Intelligence & Tracking
- Monitor and synthesize analyst reports, rankings, and market commentary (Gartner, Forrester, IDC, etc.) to assess Bain's standing relative to competitors
- Build and maintain a competitive intelligence dashboard tracking analyst positioning across competitors - surfacing gaps, threats, and opportunities for Bain
- Extract and circulate actionable insights from the analyst community to inform RFPs, sharpen Bain's market positioning, and support client development conversations
- Map emerging technology and industry themes being tracked by analysts and flag implications for Bain
- Identify patterns across analyst feedback cycles to inform recommendation to practice teams on areas for strengthening evidence and positioning
Automation & Repository Management
- Support the build-out of AI-powered submission tools, including a "best answer" bot trained on historical analyst reports and a "synthetic analyst" bot to stress-test responses against scoring criteria
- Develop and maintain a centralized library of prior submissions, model answers, and evidence frameworks — ensuring institutional knowledge accumulates across cycles and is not lost between evaluations
- Explore and operationalize Gen-AI-based tools to enhance the quality, speed, and consistency of submission drafting and competitive tracking workflows
- Track and report on performance metrics - analyst ranking trends, submission quality scores, engagement cadence - to support continuous improvement
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with the Analyst Relations Lead and Bain leadership to coordinate cross-practice submission efforts and maintain consistent Bain positioning
- Collaborate with practice teams and senior stakeholders to identify compelling case studies, differentiators, and proof points for each evaluation
- Lead end-to-end drafting of Bain's analyst evaluation submissions (RFIs/RFPs) across Vector and other priority practices, translating complex capabilities into structured, scorable evidence for analyst evaluators
- Convert high-level, narrative content into analyst-ready formats emphasizing concrete capabilities, proprietary tools, delivery models, and verifiable client outcomes
- Prepare clear, professional materials for analyst briefings, including executive summaries, capability decks, and structured Q&A documents
ABOUT YOU
- Education & Experience
- Candidates should be graduates / post-graduates with a strong academic record
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in market research, competitive intelligence, data analytics, research consulting or analyst relations
- Prior exposure to analyst firms (Gartner, Forrester, IDC, etc.) or experience writing for analyst evaluation processes is a strong plus
Skills & Competencies
- Strong research and synthesis skills - ability to distill large volumes of unstructured information into clear, structured, evidence-driven content
- Curious and analytical mindset - able to spot patterns, synthesize competitive signals, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Excellent written communication skills; adept at converting complex, technical, or strategic content into crisp, audience-appropriate narratives
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required; experience in building structured frameworks, trackers, or dashboards is a plus
- Exposure to advanced analytics or data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, SQL, Python) along with Exposure to Gen-AI-based tools and technologies (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, AI-powered search) would be an advantage
- Collaborative and effective in virtual, cross-functional team environments; proficient in agile ways of working
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
