BACKGROUND
“Himadri Hans Handloom” (HHH-Cera), Kullu and Mandi is a noble initiative of The Hans Foundation, a non-profit organisation, working in collaboration with the HDFC Bank. The objectives are to make Himachal's handloom and handcrafted textiles accessible to global markets, impart technical and design skills to rural women artisans of Kullu and Mandi thereby helping them enhance their indigenous skills, and finally, make local craft products that match the needs and aspirations of the new-age consumer. Our aim is to directly impact the lives of women weavers of Himachal Pradesh.
GENERAL
Location of Job: Mandi - Himachal Pradesh
Type of Employment: Contractual for 1 year

Reporting to: Senior Manager-Programme
Annual Salary: upto 8.40 Lacs per annum
1. JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Project officer to join our team and drive the Project and promotion of handloom in Himachal and other location while supporting local artisans in Kullu anD Mandi Himachal Pradesh.
a) Project Management

Team coordination by conveying task details to each project staff

Coordinate internal resources and THF team for the flawless execution of projects

Ensure that all project activities and deliverables are achieved on time, within scope, and within budget

Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.

Ensure resource availability and allocation for the implementation of project activity.

Develop a detailed project plan to track progress

Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs

Networking and lesioning with related Departments and boards in handloom and handicraft sectors
-
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
-
Report and escalate to management as and when needed

Perform risk management to minimize project risks
-
Diversify backward linkages by identifying yarn suppliers/dyers/job work providers.

Increase project participation in events/exhibitions etc.

Plan and establish new decentralized clusters.

Assist THF-HR in finalization of project staff.
b) Production and marketing
-
Efficient production planning in the decentralized clusters and CFCs.

To execute all the training on time with available budget.

Ensuring periodic maintenance of all the equipment, tools and machinery in the project locations

To meet the deadline and quality standards in the production
-
Approval of production budgeting, timelines, instructions, and their strict implementation.

Strengthen the production capacity and efficiency of weavers in decentralized units.

In the later stages of the project-strengthen sampling and order delivery processes to ensure acquisition and retention of buyers
-
Ensure sourcing of yarn at the minimum possible price.

New design interventions in production units.

Periodic review of production records, submission, and rejection.
c) Administration

Overall responsibility of Project offices and clusters

Ensuing maintenance of building and equipment in the unit.

Managing the efficiency and welfare of staff and artisans.

Inventory control for raw and finished goods both at the factory and sales platforms.

Ensuring timely payments to all suppliers/vendors/artisans etc.

Maintaining and updating all the databases related to project coverage stakeholder training, production, training and sales.

Ensuring the team is following rules and regulations as per the HR policy

Continuous coordination with regional office at Dehradun for necessary approvals.
