Full job description

Working days: Monday to Saturday

Festivals From India is hiring for their client, Saffronart, who is seeking a bright, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Editorial Assistant with 2–3 years of professional writing experience. This role supports the editorial team across a range of writing, research, and administrative functions, contributing to both day-to-day operations and key projects. The ideal candidate will have an excellent command of English, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. A background in art is highly desirable. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Please note:

The vetting process for this role comprises 2-3 rounds of interviews and may be followed by a brief assignment.
Festivals From India is hiring for this role on behalf of Saffronart.
This is an on-site, full-time position based in Mumbai.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, or Creative Writing.
Excellent written and spoken English, with strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Prior experience in a content, editorial, or journalistic role.
Ability to write clearly and concisely while adhering to the organisation’s style, tone, and voice.
Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work independently once assigned a project.
Background in or working knowledge of Indian art preferred.
Basic understanding of SEO is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Write, update, and maintain artist profiles for the website, including managing the associated database.
Provide editorial support for art, jewellery, and design catalogues, including research and image licensing.
Regularly contribute to and update the blog with content promoting upcoming auctions, exhibitions, webinars, and events.
Coordinate with internal teams on editorial requirements such as newsletters, mailers, homepage content, cataloguing, and research-based text for Saffronart and StoryLTD.
Assist with PR-related activities, including drafting press releases and liaising with the media when required.
Create and edit content for social media and marketing campaigns in close collaboration with the marketing team

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
