Unlike traditional travel agencies, we are building a technology-driven travel platform that combines digital marketing, customer support, automation, and local partnerships to deliver exceptional travel experiences.
As we expand our operations, we are looking for an experienced Travel Sales Team Leader who can manage a sales team, drive bookings, improve conversion rates, and ensure excellent customer service.
Role Overview
The Travel Sales Team Leader will be responsible for leading and managing the travel sales team, handling customer inquiries, monitoring sales performance, training team members, and ensuring monthly revenue targets are achieved.
The ideal candidate should have experience in the travel industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of converting travel inquiries into bookings.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Management
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the travel sales team.
- Monitor daily team performance and productivity.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Train and mentor sales executives on travel sales techniques.
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Ensure team members follow company processes and standards.
- Create a positive and performance-driven work environment.
Travel Sales & Customer Handling
- Handle high-value and complex customer inquiries.
- Assist customers in selecting suitable Kashmir travel packages.
- Provide destination guidance and travel recommendations.
- Convert inquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Build strong relationships with prospective travelers.
- Ensure timely follow-up with leads and inquiries.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally.
Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate with hotels, guest houses, houseboats, and local vendors.
- Ensure smooth booking and reservation processes.
- Manage customer itineraries and travel plans.
- Coordinate with transport and sightseeing partners.
- Maintain accurate booking records and reports.
- Ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Sales Performance & Reporting
- Track daily sales activities and booking conversions.
- Prepare sales reports and performance summaries.
- Analyze team performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement strategies to increase sales and customer retention.
- Monitor lead response times and conversion ratios.
- Ensure achievement of monthly revenue targets.
Customer Experience
- Ensure customers receive exceptional service before, during, and after their trip.
- Handle escalations and customer complaints effectively.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
- Encourage positive reviews and repeat business.
Required Skills & QualificationsMust Have
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Travel Sales, Travel Operations, or Travel Management.
- Previous experience leading or managing a sales team.
- Strong knowledge of Kashmir tourism destinations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to convert travel inquiries into bookings.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Customer-focused approach with problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of travel packages, hotel bookings, transportation, and sightseeing activities.
Preferred
- Experience working with travel agencies, tour operators, OTAs, or hospitality businesses.
- Knowledge of CRM software and lead management systems.
- Experience handling online travel inquiries from websites, WhatsApp, social media, and phone calls.
- Familiarity with digital sales processes and customer relationship management.
