Full job description

Role Summary

Is responsible for maintaining, improving and developing quality systems, tools and methods to ensure compliance and enhance organizational performance

Main Tasks

Lead project quality planning, APQP activities, PPAP submissions, and launch readiness
Develop, implement, and maintain QMS as per IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer requirements
Ensure effective risk management (PFMEA, Control Plans) across projects
Conduct and support customer audits, with hands-on experience in Maruti Suzuki VSA audits
Drive internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor quality KPIs, manage customer complaints, and lead root cause analysis (8D)
Coordinate with cross-functional teams for quality assurance and problem resolution
Ensure compliance with OEM-specific standards and statutory requirements
Must be VDA 6.3 & IATF 16949 Certified internal auditor
Handling and updating Quality tools and methods to ensure they meet current standards and best practices while providing training and support to employees on these tools, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and resources to perform their roles effectively
Improving existing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in quality management
Developing new Quality methodologies and frameworks to support organizational objectives and regulatory requirements
Serving as the first level of support for quality inquiries, addressing issues and providing guidance to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
Executing strategic process analyses and tool design initiatives to enhance operational Quality efficiency

Your Profile

Bachelor/ Diploma in Engineering with 10-12 years of Exp (Mechanical/ Automobile Stream) preferred
Has exp. of working in Automotive Tier-1 organization, MNC experience preferred
Has hands-on experience of leading QMS of Plant in coordination of all functions and has hands-on experience of leading New Product/ NPD Quality
This position will report to Quality Head and New Product/ project Quality Engineer will report to this position

Experience

Team Management & Leadership Skills
Familiar with all QMS systems, tools and methods
IATF 16949 Certified Auditor and knowledge in applying IATF 16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, PFMEA requirements,
Familiar with Total Quality Management, HSE requirements, Lean Principles execution
Able to use Microsoft Office tools, SAP
