This is an onsite position, 5 days/week, in the Vadodara office working the MID SHIFT. Hours are 2pm-11pm IST. Remote applicants will not be considered.
The Opportunity
The Manager of DevOps Engineering plays a critical role in the company’s software development lifecycle by managing and leading a team of DevOps engineers to develop and maintain platforms, tools, processes, and services that are critical to the success of R&D and infrastructure teams for the Credible platform. This role has direct interaction with team members from many departments including Architecture, Research and Development, and IT Operations.
As a manager, you will operate as a player‑coach, balancing hands‑on technical contribution with people leadership and team development to guide the team in researching, designing, implementing, and deploying new technologies that support our platform and development tools with the goal of enabling teams to deliver high‑quality changes to users quickly, safely, and reliably. This role requires a high degree of independence, sound judgment, and accountability for team outcomes.
Our DevOps team will encourage and promote industry best practices for software development and delivery, establish and promote a continuous improvement mindset, and facilitate the shifting left of code integration, security scanning, application testing, and operations team involvement in software delivery.
This role reports to the Senior Manager of DevOps Engineering.
Lead and facilitate team scrum ceremonies such as daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and sprint review meetings.
Coach, mentor, and develop DevOps engineers, with a focus on growing junior team members and supporting career development.
Oversee the design and building of automated solutions for provisioning infrastructure, configuration of resources, and deployment of software solutions, contributing directly when needed.
Propose, develop, and train team members on improvements to processes, tooling, and automation.
Ability to build, deploy, monitor, and support web based applications, including traditional web applications and cloud‑based solutions.
Certifications in System Administration, Continuous Integration, Security, or DevOps‑related concepts and tools.
Proven knowledge and experience using API, SOAP, WSDL, JSON, and XML‑based solutions.
