Role: Senior Manager: Content Writer & Editor

We are developing a number of products related to Indian philosophy based on the knowledge encapsulated in the Vedas, Upanishads, and Gita.

We are specifically seeking a candidate with exceptional creative writing abilities and a strong understanding of how to adapt tone, language, and content structure for different age groups and audience segments. The ideal candidate should be versatile and able to create a wide range of content, including book manuscripts, scripts for long- and short-form videos, blogs, social media captions, video descriptions, copy for posters/standees/brochures, landing page content, and more.

This individual will also play a key role in developing impactful marketing and product-related content while strengthening our overall brand voice and social media presence, and will also closely work with printers, freelancers, and illustrators. The detailed responsibilities are outlined below.

Responsibilities

- Develop original, creative, and engaging content in both Hindi and English for various formats, including books, blogs, website content, educational material, and social media platforms.

- Conduct thorough secondary research using authentic and reliable sources to ensure factual accuracy, depth, and credibility of content.

- Ensure clarity, consistency in tone, linguistic accuracy, and high editorial standards across all content formats.

- Coordinate and manage writers, illustrators, designers, and translators across teams and platforms to ensure timely and consistent delivery.

- Format manuscripts professionally using MS Word and maintain structured content tracking and data organization using MS Excel.

- Provide clear, constructive, and high-quality feedback on written content, illustrations, and design elements to maintain quality standards.

- Work with technical reviewers to ensure technical accuracy of the content. This will include collating feedback from teams, reviews and ensuring that this is effectively communicated to the responsible members.

Key Requirements

- Strong command over both Hindi and English (reading, writing, and editing).

- Strong research abilities, with the capacity to verify facts from authentic and reliable sources.

- Working knowledge of AI tools for content creation, research, editing, and productivity enhancement.

- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Word (for manuscript formatting) and MS Excel (for content tracking and data organization).

- High attention to detail and consistency in tone, style, and language

What we are looking for:

- Bachelors degree with 0-3 years of experience.

- Experience in writing or editing spiritual, or educational books

- Familiarity with content structuring for publishing and digital platforms

- Good understanding of Hindu scripture, spiritual concepts, philosophy and mythological stories

- Understanding of SEO principles and experience in implementing them is a plus.

- Strategic mindset and the ability to work at pace

- Proficiency in any other Indian language is a plus

- Interest/exposure to Hindu philosophy is a plus
