Day to Day
The Smart Sourcing team's mission is to empower employers to efficiently discover and connect with top talent through innovative search and matching technology. We build and maintain the core product that enables employers to source candidates effectively, leveraging cutting-edge technologies within a Java, React, and microservice architecture.
As an engineer on the team, you'd contribute to enhancing the employer experience by developing and optimizing features that drive talent discovery. This work offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies and contribute to a product that directly impacts how employers find the right candidates.
Our systems are very large in scale and high-performing. You will work in a team of extremely talented software engineers, data scientists, and product scientists. You will regularly be collaborating with teams outside of your team and your organization, to make progress on critical projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance software systems
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design, validating solutions through data and experimentation where appropriate
- Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards
- Own and support applications during business hours, ensuring system health and reliability
- Use metrics, logging, and analytics to make data-informed decisions and improve system performance
- Collaborate closely with partners across engineering, product, data science, and design to deliver solutions
- Contribute to cross-team initiatives and support the growth of other engineers through mentorship and knowledge sharing
Skills/Competencies
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in full stack development with a solid focus on both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as React or similar frameworks.
- Proficiency in one or more modern backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, or similar).
- Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance, and resilient systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
Salary Range Transparency
Tier 3 - India 2,930,000 - 4,690,000 INR per year
