Full job description

Position: QC Chemist

Location: Infopark Kochi

Experience: 3+ years

Key Responsibilities

Perform quality testing of food raw materials, food additives, packaging materials, and finished products.
Inspect and verify the quality of food products and disposable/food-contact products as per required standards.
Conduct physical, chemical, microbiological, and other quality tests as applicable.
Monitor production line quality and identify defects, contamination risks, and process deviations.
Ensure compliance with FSSAI, BIS, ISO, HACCP, GMP, and other applicable food safety and regulatory standards.
Maintain QA/QC records, laboratory test reports, calibration records, inspection reports, and COA documentation.
Monitor hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices across production and processing areas.
Identify quality issues and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Coordinate with production and other departments to ensure consistent product quality.
Support internal and external audits and assist in implementing audit recommendations.
Ensure proper sampling, testing, documentation, and release of raw materials and finished products.
Participate in product quality improvement and process control activities.

Candidate Profile

B.Sc / M.Sc in Food Technology / Food Science / Food & Nutrition or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance in food manufacturing or food processing industries.
Good knowledge of FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, BIS and ISO standards.
Knowledge of laboratory testing methods and food quality parameters.
Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments such as pH meter, moisture analyzer, weighing balance, hot air oven, titration equipment, incubator, etc.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, sampling, and quality documentation.
Strong documentation, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good observation and coordination skills.
Ability to identify quality deviations and implement corrective actions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
