The "Role" Mandate

We are recruiting a high-impact Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to claim and develop the Itanagar and Naharlagun market from the ground up. This is not a maintenance role; you are an entrepreneur within the company. Your objective is to enter these virgin markets with a blank slate, identify the untapped commercial potential, and build a profitable, recurring sales engine for our entire portfolio—Bitly (home hygiene), Tara's (breakfast cereals), Himalayan Heat (multigrain snacks), and Cool It (refreshing beverages)—where zero presence currently exists.

Strategic Objectives & Autonomous Revenue Generation

Market Pioneering: Conduct exhaustive market mapping across Itanagar and Naharlagun to identify high-potential retail clusters, wholesale hubs, and key distribution points that have never interacted with the Tamz brand.
Zero-Base Distributor Appointment: Independently hunt and secure high-capacity wholesale stockists and distribution partners willing to back our product entry, ensuring we dominate local shelf-share from the first delivery.
Direct-to-Retail Evangelism: Execute aggressive daily field coverage, pitching directly to shopkeepers and retail owners to convert them into first-time buyers and loyal brand promoters.
Pipeline & Sales Velocity: You are 100% accountable for the total sales output of your territory. You must build your sales pipeline from cold-calls, monitor daily order-to-delivery cycles, and ensure that every outlet you onboard generates consistent repeat revenue.
Entrepreneurial Logistics Management: Collaborate with local transport and logistical hubs to solve "last-mile" delivery challenges, ensuring stock reaches newly opened retail accounts without delays.
Field Data & Strategic Feedback: Leverage our mobile sales technology to capture real-time competitive insights, pricing gaps, and consumer preferences, providing daily executive updates to leadership on territory growth metrics.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience: 3 to 6 years of aggressive field sales, territory launch, or business development experience in the FMCG/packaged goods industry. Proven track record of taking a product from "zero to shelf" in a new region is highly preferred.
Educational Background: MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Skills: Exceptional "cold-start" negotiation abilities, high emotional intelligence for overcoming initial market resistance, and professional fluency in English, Assamese, Hindi, and local dialects (Nishi/Apatani/Common regional languages are an advantage).
Mobility: Must possess a valid driving license and a two-wheeler, with a deep comfort level for navigating the hilly terrain and unique retail dynamics of the Itanagar-Naharlagun corridor.
