Job Overview

Apollo Hospitals Jabalpur is looking for experienced OT Technicians to assist in surgical procedures, maintain sterile conditions, and ensure the smooth functioning of the operation theatre. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting surgeons, anesthetists, and nurses during surgeries while adhering to strict infection control and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing the operation theatre with sterilized instruments and equipment.

Ensure proper functioning of surgical instruments, OT lights, suction machines, and anesthesia machines.

Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures.

Maintain sterile field and infection control before, during, and after surgery.

Handle surgical specimens and coordinate with pathology labs for further examination.

Monitor and manage surgical consumables, equipment, and inventory.

Ensure adherence to NABH and hospital safety standards in the OT.

Assist in emergency surgeries and trauma cases as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT) or equivalent qualification.
2-10 years of experience working in a hospital OT or surgical department.
Strong understanding of surgical procedures, anesthesia techniques, and sterilization protocols.
Ability to handle critical emergency cases in OT.
Knowledge of infection control, patient positioning, and surgical safety guidelines.
Proficiency in handling laparoscopic, orthopedic, neurosurgical, and cardiac OT equipment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with surgeons and nurses.
Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS) for OT scheduling and records management.
