Job Purpose
To manage incoming materials, inventory control, storage activities, and dispatch operations while ensuring accurate stock records, timely material availability, and on-time customer deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Incoming Material Management
· Verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
· Receive materials from suppliers as per Purchase Orders.
· Prepare GRN in SAP after physical verification.
· Check quantity, batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, and material condition.
· Maintain records of rejected, pending, and accepted materials.
· Ensure proper storage and identification of all incoming materials.
Store Operations & Inventory Control
· Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP.
· Issue materials to production as per approved requisitions.
· Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
· Monitor stock levels and report shortages to Purchase and Planning teams.
· Follow FIFO practices as per requirement and maintain FIFO/FEFO wherever applicable.
· Ensure proper storage, identification, and housekeeping standards for all materials.
Dispatch Management
- Prepare dispatch documents such as Delivery Challans, E-Way Bills, Invoices, and Packing Lists.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, and Logistics teams for dispatch schedules.
- Ensure correct packing, labeling, and shipment documentation.
- Arrange transport and coordinate with transporters/courier agencies.
- Monitor on-time dispatch and delivery performance.
- Maintain dispatch records and proof of deliveries.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain stock registers and inventory reports.
- Prepare daily inward, outward, and stock status reports.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure document compliance as per company procedures.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Stores, Inventory, Incoming Material, or Dispatch functions in a manufacturing industry.
