Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records in Tally Prime, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and transactions.
Generate financial reports and statements as required by the management.
Tax Compliance: Work closely with the organization's Head Accountant to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other applicable taxes.
Keep abreast of tax law changes and make necessary adjustments to the financial records to reflect current regulations.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather financial data and provide support in budget planning and financial decision-making.
Respond to financial inquiries and provide information to relevant parties.
Assist in financial audits and provide required documentation.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue generation.
Contribute to the development of financial strategies and recommendations for the organization.
Month-end and Year-end Closing: Ensure that month-end and year-end financial closing activities are executed accurately and within established timelines.
Prepare necessary financial reports for management and regulatory purposes.
Documentation and Record Management: Maintain organized and accessible financial records and documentation.
Implement proper documentation procedures and controls to safeguard financial data.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Identify areas for automation and optimization within Tally Prime.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime and other accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial data management.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Indian taxation laws is a plus.
