Position: Technical Sales Engineer
Location: Jharsuguda (Eastern Region)
Department: Sales & Marketing.
Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager / Head – Sales
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Technical Sales Engineer to manage and develop business opportunities in the Eastern Region. The candidate will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining relationships with existing customers, understanding technical requirements, providing suitable solutions, preparing commercial proposals, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in assigned territories and industries.
- Generate leads through market visits, references, networking, and customer interactions.
- Meet potential customers and understand their requirements.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Conduct regular customer visits and follow-up activities.
2. Technical Support & Customer Handling
- Understand customer technical requirements and recommend appropriate products/solutions.
- Provide technical presentations and explain product specifications to customers.
- Coordinate with customers regarding project requirements and technical discussions.
- Resolve customer queries and provide timely support.
3. Proposal & Documentation Management
- Prepare quotations, techno-commercial proposals, and cost estimations.
- Review RFQs, tender documents, and customer requirements.
- Follow up with customers on quotations and negotiations.
- Maintain records of customer interactions, proposals, and sales activities.
4. Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Projects, PPC, Design, Electrical & Instrumentation, and Purchase teams for execution and delivery.
- Ensure smooth communication between customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support project handover and execution activities whenever required.
5. Market Research & Reporting
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands.
- Identify new market opportunities and strategies for business expansion.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to management.
- Share market intelligence and customer feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related technical field.
- MBA in Marketing (Preferred).
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Technical Sales / Industrial Sales / Engineering Sales.
- Experience in handling industrial customers and B2B sales will be preferred.

Job Type: Full-Time

Travel Requirement: Frequent travel within the Eastern Region required.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹44,030.78 per month
