Qualification: Master’s Degree in Chemistry

Position Overview

Douglas Memorial Higher Secondary School is seeking a passionate and experienced Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Chemistry to handle classes 9 to 12 under the ICSE & ISC curriculum.

The candidate must have strong subject expertise, council exposure, and the ability to guide students effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Chemistry to Classes 9–12 according to ICSE & ISC council syllabus.

Prepare structured and engaging lesson plans aligned with council guidelines.

Conduct laboratory sessions following all safety protocols.

Prepare students for ICSE/ISC Board examinations with rigorous practice.

Organize practical classes, experiments, lab records, and internal assessments.

Conduct unit tests, assignments, project work, and maintain council documentation.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree (M.Sc. in Chemistry) from a recognized university.

B.Ed. mandatory as per council norms.

Strong knowledge of Physical, Inorganic, and Organic Chemistry.

Fluency in English and excellent classroom communication.

Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in classes 9–12.
ICSE/ISC council experience is strongly preferred (syllabus familiarity, correction pattern, lab guidelines).
Experience in preparing students for practical exams and board practicals.
Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and experiment demonstrations.
