Librarian
Role:
To manage the school library effectively, support teaching and learning, and foster a love for reading, research, and lifelong learning among students.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the library collection, including cataloguing books and learning resources.
- Handle book circulation, including issuing, returning, and tracking library materials.
- Assist students and teachers in locating and using library resources effectively.
- Organise reading programs, book fairs, storytelling sessions, and literacy activities.
- Maintain accurate library records, inventories, and reports.
- Ensure the library remains a safe, organised, and welcoming learning environment.
- Support curriculum requirements by collaborating with teachers and recommending relevant resources.
- Promote responsible use of library facilities and digital resources.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate or Postgraduate Degree in Library Science, Library & Information Science, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a school library is preferred.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to interact positively and effectively with students, teachers, and staff.
- Basic knowledge of library management systems/software will be an added advantage.
- Passion for promoting reading, research, and independent learning among students.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
