Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Accounts Manager to support the Finance & Accounts function of our garment export business. The role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting, export-related transactions, receivables and payables, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate books of accounts.

Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, and Journal Entries.

Prepare and review invoices, debit/credit notes, payment vouchers, and receipts.

Monitor customer outstanding, vendor payments, and follow up for collections.

Support export billing, export documentation, and realization of export proceeds.

Coordinate with banks regarding export transactions, remittances, and related documentation.

Assist in handling GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliances.

Prepare monthly MIS reports, expense statements, outstanding reports, and other management reports.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.

Verify purchase, sales, expense, and stock-related accounting entries.

Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, vendors, customers, and internal departments.

Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of financial records.

Assist in budgeting, cost analysis, cash-flow monitoring, and financial planning.

Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.

Support the Accounts Manager in day-to-day financial and accounting operations.

Garment Export Industry Knowledge

The candidate should preferably have exposure to:

Export sales and export invoices.

Foreign currency transactions and exchange-rate adjustments.

Bank realization / export payment follow-up.

Letter of Credit (LC), advance payments, and export-related banking procedures.

Export documentation and coordination with CHA / freight forwarders.

Garment production costing and order-wise cost analysis.

Inventory, fabric, trims, accessories, and finished-goods accounting.

Job work / subcontracting accounting, where applicable.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.

Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.

Proficiency in Tally / ERP / Accounting Software and MS Excel.

Good analytical and reconciliation skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting activities.

Knowledge of garment export accounting will be an added advantage.

Qualification

B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification in Finance & Accounts.

Preferred Experience

3–6 years of relevant experience, preferably in a garment export, textile manufacturing, apparel, or export-oriented company.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
