Senior Java Developer – Agentic AI
The Senior Java Developer – Agentic AI is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying intelligent, AI-powered enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern cloud technologies. The role focuses on building scalable backend systems, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), developing AI agent workflows, and delivering cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate is a strong full-stack engineer with a backend focus, capable of leveraging AI-assisted development to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Design and implement AI agent workflows and multi-agent systems.
- Integrate LLMs and Generative AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
- Build RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures using Kafka.
- Develop cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Azure.
- Design and optimize applications using PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Collaborate with product, AI, and engineering teams to build intelligent business solutions.
- Utilize AI-assisted coding tools to improve development productivity and code quality.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and Agile development activities.
- Ensure applications are secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Experience with Agentic AI, AI Agents, or Generative AI solutions.
- Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI integration.
- Experience developing REST APIs and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
- Strong backend development experience with exposure to Full Stack development.
- Ability to leverage AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, Amazon Q, etc.) to improve development productivity.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience designing and orchestrating multi-agent AI systems.
- Knowledge of AI safety, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Experience with Prompt Engineering, Prompt Tuning, and Model Evaluation.
- Exposure to AI observability and monitoring frameworks.
- Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Vector Databases, and AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, OpenAI APIs, or similar AI platforms.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
