Experience Required:
-7–10 years of overall experience in an engineering domain (mechanical / production
/ plant / project / maintenance).
-Demonstrable experience in plant operations, machinery handling, and project
execution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, schedule, and monitor engineering and production projects using MS Project
/ MS Project Manager or similar tools.
2. Prepare and maintain project timelines, schedules, and resource plans, considering
lead times and critical path activities.
3. Handle design, layout, and drafting activities using AutoCAD (or CAD tools) for
plant layouts, equipment placements, and modifications.
4. Provide technical and operational support for mechanical systems, machinery, and
equipment such as pumps, blowers, compressors, conveyors, and other critical
plant equipment.
5. Coordinate with electrical and instrumentation teams and possess working
knowledge of electrical equipment and instruments used in the plant.
6. Ensure optimal utilization of machinery and equipment through maintenance
planning, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
7. Support project planning and scheduling, including material planning, vendor
coordination, and timeline management.
8. Work closely with procurement, planning, and operations to understand commercial
aspects (costs, budgets, vendor comparisons, and project economics).
9. Prepare and deliver technical reports, presentations, and project updates to
management and stakeholders.
10. Mentor junior engineers and technicians; ensure adherence to safety, quality, and
regulatory standards.
Required Skills & Competencies:
1. Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals with indepth knowledge of machines,
equipment, and plant systems.
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD (or equivalent CAD software) for drafting and layout work.
3. Experience in project planning and scheduling using MS Project or similar tools.
4. Familiarity with electrical equipment and instrumentation used in industrial plants.
5. Strong planning and organizational skills, with clear understanding of lead time
management and supplychain constraints.
6. Solid communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) for interacting
with crossfunctional teams and management.
7. Knowledge of commercial / project cost aspects, including budgeting, vendor
evaluation, and cost benefit analysis.
8. Ability to work independently, lead small teams, and manage multiple priorities in a
fastpaced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech / B.E); higher qualifications
or certifications related to project management (PMP / similar) will be an added
advantage.
2. Previous experience in manufacturing, dairy, food processing, FMCG, or similar
