Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the Finance Department in the daily accounting operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Record daily financial transactions accurately.
Process supplier invoices, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
Verify and reconcile cash, bank, and ledger balances.
Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Reconcile guest ledgers, city ledgers, and credit card settlements.
Verify daily revenue reports received from the Front Office and F&B departments.
Maintain records of vendor payments and outstanding balances.
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports.
Support payroll processing and employee reimbursement documentation.
Maintain proper filing of financial records and supporting documents.
Coordinate with operational departments regarding billing and payment-related matters.
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
Assist during internal and external audits.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager or Financial Controller.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in hotel or hospitality accounting is preferred.
Fresh graduates with good accounting knowledge may also apply.

Required Skills

Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting softwares.
Familiarity with hotel PMS/POS systems such as WinHMS, Opera, or IDS is an advantage.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

Experience in hotel finance or hospitality accounting.
Knowledge of night audit, revenue reconciliation, and income audit procedures.
Understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
