Job Summary

The Chamber Maid is responsible for cleaning, servicing, and maintaining guest rooms and assigned areas to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation expected in a 4-star hotel. The role ensures guests enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while providing courteous and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards and established procedures.
Make beds, change bed linens, and replace towels and guest amenities as required.
Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, balconies, and corridors.
Replenish toiletries, drinking water, tea/coffee supplies, stationery, and minibar items (where applicable).
Ensure all furniture, fixtures, and equipment are clean and in good condition.
Report any maintenance defects, damages, or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor immediately.
Check room status and update completed rooms according to hotel procedures.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and special cleaning requirements.
Follow proper lost-and-found procedures for guest belongings.
Handle guest property with care and maintain confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
Maintain housekeeping carts, cleaning tools, and storage areas in a clean and organized condition.
Follow hotel policies on hygiene, sanitation, health, and workplace safety.
Assist with deep cleaning programs and periodic cleaning schedules as assigned.
Coordinate with the Front Office and Maintenance departments to ensure rooms are ready for guest occupancy.
Maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly, courteous service to all guests.

Qualifications

Certificate or training in Housekeeping or Hospitality is preferred.
Previous experience in housekeeping or hotel operations is an advantage, but fresh candidates may also be considered.

Skills and Competencies

Knowledge of housekeeping cleaning techniques and hotel standards.
Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical fitness to perform housekeeping duties.
Time management and organizational skills.
Basic understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
Honest, reliable, and trustworthy.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
