JOB DESCRIPTION – FULL-TIME ACCOUNTANT

Location: Kim–Karanj, Gujarat

Position: Full-Time Accountant

Employment Type: 10 to 7

Key Responsibilities

1. Banking & Daily Accounting

Record and verify all daily bank payment and receipt transactions.

Maintain the Bank Book and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded in the accounting software.

Regularly reconcile bank statements with books of accounts.

Verify all payments and receipts before final posting.

Monitor outstanding payments and receipts and coordinate with concerned staff.

2. Purchase & Sales Accounting

Verify all purchase and sales entries with supporting invoices and documents.

Coordinate with purchase, sales, stores, and other concerned staff for accurate accounting.

Ensure proper accounting of purchase invoices, sales invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and related transactions.

Identify and resolve discrepancies in purchase and sales records.

3. GST & TDS

Should have good practical knowledge of GST and TDS.

Verify GST-related purchase and sales entries.

Verify Input Tax Credit (ITC) and GST-related ledgers.

Assist in preparation and verification of GST returns and reconciliations.

Ensure proper accounting and deduction of TDS wherever applicable.

Verify TDS ledgers, challans, and related compliance records.

4. Ledger & Vendor Reconciliation

Regularly verify ledgers of customers, suppliers, vendors, and other parties.

Conduct party-wise reconciliation and identify differences.

Coordinate with vendors/customers for confirmation and resolution of outstanding balances.

Maintain proper records of ledger confirmations and reconciliations.

5. Payments & Receipts Verification

Verify supporting documents and approvals for all payments.

Cross-check payment entries with invoices, ledgers, bank transactions, and other supporting documents.

Verify receipts received from customers and ensure proper adjustment in respective ledgers.

Report any discrepancy or unusual transaction to management/directors.

6. Payroll Verification

Verify payroll of labourers and employees.

Check attendance, wages, salaries, deductions, advances, overtime, and other payroll-related calculations.

Verify payroll records with supporting documents and concerned staff.

Prepare payroll for review and final verification/approval by the Directors.

7. Finalisation of Accounts

Should have practical knowledge of finalisation of accounts.

Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books.

Verify trial balance, profit & loss account, balance sheet, and major accounting ledgers.

Coordinate with auditors/consultants during audit and finalisation.

Ensure that books of accounts are complete and properly maintained.

8. Coordination & Internal Verification

Coordinate with all departments and accounting staff for smooth accounting operations.

Follow up for pending invoices, documents, payments, receipts, and reconciliations.

Cross-check accounting information received from different staff members.

Maintain proper documentation and records for management review.

Required Skills & Qualifications

B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter or equivalent qualification preferred.

Minimum 3–5 years of practical accounting experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of Accounting, GST, TDS, Banking, Ledger Reconciliation, Payroll and Finalisation.

Good command over accounting software such as Tally/ERP.

Good knowledge of MS Excel.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify accounting discrepancies.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Ability to work independently and take responsibility for day-to-day accounting operations.

Experience in a manufacturing/company environment will be an added advantage.

Key Requirement

The candidate should be capable of independently handling day-to-day accounting, banking, GST/TDS, ledger reconciliation, payment and receipt verification, payroll verification, and finalisation-related work, while coordinating effectively with staff and reporting important matters to the Directors.
