WANTED: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – BCA DEPARTMENT
PGM College,Kangazha is inviting applications from dynamic and qualified professionals for the position of Assistant Professor for our Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program. We seek passionate educators to shape the next generation of IT professionals.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, conducting practical lab sessions, and mentoring students in software projects and technical skill development.
Educational Qualifications
· Master's Degree: MCA (Master of Computer Applications) with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university.
· Additional Preferences: Candidates with a Ph.D. in Computer Science/IT, or those who have cleared the UGC-NET/JRF in Computer Science, will be given distinct preference.
Key Responsibilities
· Teaching & Instruction: Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in core subjects like Data Structures, DBMS, Software Engineering, and core programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
· Mentorship: Guide undergraduate students with their mini-projects, assignments, and overall academic progress.
· Curriculum & Development: Assist in syllabus updates and actively contribute to departmental and institutional development activities.
Skills & Competencies Required
· Strong technical and theoretical understanding of computer science concepts.
· Excellent communication, classroom management, and student counseling skills.
