Full job description

We are the largest distributors of M/s. ITC Ltd. in Ernakulam. We are looking for an Assistants Accounts Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the distribution business of ITC Ltd, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance with statutory regulations, efficient working capital management, and timely financial reporting. The Accounts Assistant is responsible for supporting the finance department by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting in daily accounting operations. The role ensures compliance with company policies and timely reporting.

Roles and Duties:

Record daily financial transactions in accounting systems.
Assist in preparation of invoices, bills, and vouchers.
Maintain and update ledgers, purchase and sales registers.
Handle accounts payable and receivable tracking.
Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
Assist in GST/TDS calculations and basic compliance work.
Support in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
Coordinate with internal departments for billing and payments.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Verify bills, invoices, and supporting documents before entry.
Follow company accounting procedures and policies.
Assist senior accountants in financial reporting.
Monitor pending payments and follow up when required.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

-Accuracy of data entry and financial records.

-Timeliness of invoice processing and reporting.

-Number of errors in accounts/reconciliation.

-Efficiency in handling payables and receivables.

-Compliance with accounting standards and deadlines.
