Full job description

Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for managing the hospital’s public image, communication strategies, media relations, and patient engagement activities. The PRO ensures effective communication between the hospital, patients, media, and the public to maintain a positive reputation and brand image.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement public relations strategies to enhance the hospital’s reputation.

Handle media communications, press releases, and public announcements.

Coordinate hospital events, health camps, awareness programs, and community outreach activities.

Manage social media accounts and online presence of the hospital.

Address patient queries, feedback, and public concerns professionally.

Build and maintain relationships with media houses, local organizations, and stakeholders.

Assist in crisis communication and manage sensitive information carefully.

Collaborate with marketing and administrative teams for promotional activities.

Ensure branding consistency across all communication channels.

Monitor public perception and provide regular reports to management.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, or related field.

Proven experience as a PRO, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and networking abilities.

Knowledge of digital marketing and social media management.

Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and professionally.
