ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented 2D Animator to join our creative team. In this role, you will bring stories, brands, and concepts to life through fluid, expressive 2D animation. You will work across a variety of projects, from social media content and explainer videos to brand campaigns and digital experiences collaborating closely with designers, copywriters, and art directors.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in 2D animation principles, is highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, and has a sharp eye for motion, timing, and visual storytelling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality 2D animations for digital platforms, social media, video campaigns, and branded content.
- Create frame-by-frame and rigged character animations, motion graphics, and illustrated sequences in Photoshop and After Effects.
- Develop and maintain animation style guides and storyboards in alignment with brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the creative and design team to translate scripts, briefs, and concepts into compelling animated content.
- Manage multiple animation projects simultaneously while adhering to timelines and quality standards.
- Iterate on animations based on internal feedback and client revisions.
- Organize and maintain well-structured project files for team accessibility and archiving.
- Stay current with trends in 2D animation, motion design, and digital storytelling.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–3 years of professional 2D animation experience in a studio, agency, or in-house creative environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects — including keyframing, expressions, compositing, and motion paths.
- Strong command of Adobe Photoshop for frame-by-frame animation, asset creation, and digital illustration.
- Solid understanding of animation fundamentals: timing, spacing, easing, squash & stretch, anticipation, and follow-through.
- Experience creating both character animation and motion graphics/typography animations.
- Ability to work from storyboards, animatics, and creative briefs independently.
- Strong sense of design, layout, colour, and visual composition.
- A portfolio demonstrating a range of 2D animation styles and technical execution.
