Professor – Biotechnology

Job Description

The Professor will provide academic leadership in teaching, research, and institutional development in Biotechnology. The candidate is expected to contribute to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs while establishing a strong externally funded research program and mentoring students and junior faculty.

Key Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. courses in the relevant specialization.
Develop and revise curriculum in accordance with current advancements in biotechnology.
Conduct high-quality research leading to publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals.
Secure sponsored research projects and consultancy assignments from national and international funding agencies.
Supervise M.Tech./M.Sc., Ph.D., and postdoctoral researchers.
Establish and maintain advanced laboratory facilities.
Guide students in dissertation, thesis, and research projects.
Collaborate with academic institutions, research organizations, hospitals, and industry partners.
Participate in accreditation, academic administration, examination, and institutional development activities.

Strong publication record in SCI/SCIE-indexed journals.
Proven ability to obtain externally funded research projects.
Experience guiding Ph.D. scholars.

Desirable Qualifications

International research exposure.
Industry collaboration and technology transfer experience.
Patents, product development, or startup incubation experience.
Experience with NBA/NAAC accreditation and outcome-based education.
