Senior Merchandiser

Womenswear – Jersey

ROLE DESCRIPTION (Knits & Jersey) – Women’s wear

Job Location – Bangalore

WHAT YOU DO

As a Senior Merchandiser, you play a critical role in managing and driving the end-to-end product journey for Womenswear Basic Jersey. You ensure that products move smoothly through the supply chain—from development to bulk production and shipment—while balancing cost, quality, sustainability, and speed.

You take ownership of key styles and suppliers, working closely with Product Developers, Planners, Quality, and Production teams to secure on-time delivery and commercial excellence.

You will:

Drive the product flow from development through bulk production and delivery.
Own and coordinate supplier interactions to ensure commitments on capacity, cost, and timelines are met.
Collaborate closely with Product Development and Planning to translate assortment and volume plans into executable sourcing solutions.
Guide suppliers on product execution, including fabric, construction, and production readiness.
Monitor critical milestones and take proactive action to mitigate risks.
Ensure accurate and timely system updates across the product lifecycle.
Support continuous improvement in supplier performance, cost efficiency, and ways of working.

As a Senior Merchandiser, you work with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. You combine deep product understanding with structured execution, acting as a trusted partner to both internal teams and external suppliers.

You will:

Work proactively, anticipating challenges and driving solutions rather than reacting to issues.
Build strong, transparent, and long-term partnerships with suppliers.
Communicate clearly, confidently, and constructively across multiple stakeholders.
Use data, insights, and production knowledge to support informed decision-making.
Balance commercial goals with quality, sustainability, and compliance requirements.
Coach and support suppliers to improve execution and capability over time.
