Come join the new Vestas Blades Process Engineering organization. The Finish & Paint Blades documentation department within the Blades Finish & Paint :.
Ownership for creating and updating Production documentation such as Production Work Instructions (PWI), Process and product inspection (PII) documents, and update the generic inspections in our QDA system standards. The department shall also maintain PFMEA you will get most of the input from process engineers. There will be between 2-3 Documentation engineers working with documentation for Finish & Paint. The whole Finish & Paint department will consist of 9-12 high educated engineers or equal education, and they will be divided into 5 teams: Process, Tooling, Documentation, Operational Support and Training
Responsibilities
As a Documentation Engineer at Vestas, you will play a key role in improving the manufacturing processes for wind turbine blades via the quality of the documentation. If you do not have a deep knolled withing Blades manufacturing principles you will have a high motivation to get it – go to shopfloor. You will have a strong focus on modern documentation principles and technologies, drive towards standardization to ensure fast updates or creation of documentation to shopfloor to support process stability and capability to improve overall business performance; Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC).
- Creation and updating documentation to Shopfloor (workers, quality and process teams) within Finish & Paint operations.
- Updated documentation is always available on the shop floor.
- Be loyal to the documentation principles described.
- Being an active part in getting feedback from shop floors and lay-up team on the function / quality of the documentation delivered
- Perform in internal quality check of the documentation.
- Perform internal maturity check of the documentation up against our documented criteria described.
- Keep stakeholder up to date on documentation lead time.
- Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability
- You will take learning from modern documentation systems and material including process vision, laser systems and other digital enabling systems
- Investigating and solving production issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams.
- Applying continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Lean to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor engineering or alike
- GB Six Sigma or alike
- Courses within Technical writing or communication.
- About 3-5 years of experience in similar roles as described above
- Create process flow
- Establish and maintain work instructions paper or digital
- Validation of own work
- Know Control plans
- Worked in a data driven organization.
- Driven optimization and standardization within manufacturing documention with use of the toolbox also mentioned above.
Competencies
- Strong writing and communication skills: Ability to simplify complex information.
- Technical aptitude: Especially important for shop floor documentation, which may involve machinery, production processes, or software systems. But also ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly language
- Attention to detail: Accuracy is critical in documentation that supports operations or compliance
- You are interested and willing to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems
- Use of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, to identify and solve production issues.
- You are self-motivated; result-oriented and possess great organizational discipline
- You find it exciting and interesting to work with other people in a large organization and can build up an intensive network across cultures and time zones and work with stakeholders
- You are customer-oriented and can understand the complete business value chain seen from a customer perspective
- You are committed to learning
