Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, consumables, engineering items, spare parts, and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective procurement.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), and vendor agreements.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and identify alternate sources to reduce procurement risks.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Stores, Production, Maintenance, and Quality departments.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of materials required for manufacturing operations.
- Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain developments.
- Track supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery parameters.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and audit requirements.
- Prepare MIS reports related to purchases, cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement planning.
Required Skills
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management.
- Experience in sourcing engineering, steel, or manufacturing-related materials.
- Good analytical and cost-control abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Engineering background (Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech) will be a distinct advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, steel, wire, automotive, or engineering industries preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple vendors and procurement projects simultaneously.
- Self-driven, proactive, and result-oriented professional.
- Experience in steel wire, automotive components, or metal manufacturing industry will be an added advantage
