Full job description

A Mechanical QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Engineer ensures that mechanical systems, components, and installations meet the highest industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. They prevent defects and oversee inspections from the initial design phase to final project handover

Quality Planning & Documentation: Develop, review, and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and Method Statements.
Inspections & Testing: Witness and approve mechanical installations, welding, non-destructive testing (NDT), coating, and pressure/hydro testing.
Material Verification: Inspect incoming raw materials, fabricated parts, and equipment to ensure they match approved vendor lists (AVL) and material certificates.
Non-Conformance Management: Identify and document deviations or defects, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and verify the implementation of corrective actions.
Calibration Control: Ensure all measuring and testing equipment used on-site or in the plant is properly calibrated and certified.
Client & Third-Party Coordination: Lead quality walkthroughs, manage audits, and collaborate with client representatives and third-party inspectors for final approvals.
Handover Documentation: Compile and maintain comprehensive QA/QC dossiers (As-built drawings, test reports, and certificates) for final project handover.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Typically 3 to 10+ years in QA/QC roles within relevant sectors (e.g., Oil & Gas, manufacturing, construction, or piping).
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of international codes and standards such as ASME, API, AWS, ASTM, and ISO 9001.
Specialized Certifications: ASNT Level II or III (for NDT/Radiography), CSWIP or AWS (for Welding), and sometimes ISO internal auditor certifications.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
