Job Title: Gynecologist
Job Summary: The Gynecologist provides comprehensive healthcare services to women, including preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of reproductive health conditions, prenatal and postnatal care, family planning, and gynecological surgeries. They work closely with patients to promote reproductive health and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat disorders of the female reproductive system.
Perform routine gynecological examinations, including pelvic exams and Pap smears.
Provide prenatal, antenatal, and postnatal care for pregnant women.
Manage high-risk pregnancies and coordinate with obstetric specialists when required.
Perform gynecological surgeries, such as hysterectomy, laparoscopy, and cesarean section (if qualified in obstetrics and gynecology).
Counsel patients on contraception, fertility, menopause, and reproductive health.
Diagnose and treat infertility, menstrual disorders, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and hormonal disorders.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical and ethical standards.
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Participate in continuing medical education and stay updated on advances in women's healthcare.
Qualifications:
MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
MD/MS or DNB in Obstetrics and Gynecology (or equivalent recognized qualification).
Valid medical registration/licensure with the appropriate medical council.
Relevant clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology.
