Purchase Manager – Agri Commodities

About the Role
Seamless Speciality Foods and Beverages is hiring a Purchase Manager with deep, on-ground expertise in sourcing agri commodities for industrial applications such as distilleries, breweries, and poultry/feed manufacturing.
This is a high-impact, execution-heavy role requiring strong mandi presence, supplier relationships, and commercial acumen to drive cost-effective and consistent procurement at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure raw material directly from APMC markets, mandis, farmers, and traders
- Build and manage a strong, reliable pan-India supplier network
- Strengthen direct sourcing channels with minimal intermediaries
- Ensure procurement meets industry-specific quality standards.
- Evaluate key parameters and coordinate quality checks/lab testing at source
- Track mandi prices, arrivals, crop cycles, and seasonality
- Monitor government policies, MSP impact, and commodity trends
- Optimize buying decisions based on price movements and supply outlook
- Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and contracts to achieve cost efficiency
- Actively source from key agri belts and leverage existing relationships in regional mandis/APMCs
- Manage bulk procurement and movement and coordinate for timely dispatch/delivery
- Ensure adherence to FSSAI / feed-grade compliance norms
- Maintain vendor documentation, contracts, and procurement records
- Ensure traceability and audit readiness
What We’re Looking For (Must-Have)
- 5–10 years of hands-on agri commodity procurement experience
- Proven experience in sourcing agri commodities (Maize, Broken Rice and/or Barley) at scale
- Strong on-ground experience in mandis/APMC markets
- Established network of farmers, traders, aggregators, or commission agents
- Solid understanding of quality parameters and industrial usage requirements
- Excellent negotiation, pricing, and commercial skills
- Willingness to travel extensively across sourcing regions
Preferred Industry Experience

- Poultry or cattle feed companies
- Commodity trading firms (agri-focused)
