Teaching & Collaborative Practice
- Work collaboratively with the Learning Support team, to ensure high-quality, individualized support for students.
- Support and share good practice with colleagues, including less experienced staff, through modelling, collaboration, and professional dialogue.
- Work closely with Early Years staff and class teachers to contribute to a cohesive and effective support environment.
- Contribute to the induction and ongoing development of Learning Support staff through guidance, teamwork, and reflective practice.
Student Support & Curriculum Access
- Plan and deliver tailored learning programmes for students with additional support needs, ensuring alignment with class objectives and Early Learning Goals where relevant.
- Work closely with class teachers and the Head of Inclusion to develop, implement, track, and review individual learning targets, using data to inform next steps and interventions.
- Ensure students’ needs are met through differentiated instruction, appropriate resources, and adaptive strategies.
- Support students in developing independence, confidence, and engagement within the classroom and wider school environment.
Assessment & Monitoring
- Contribute to a range of assessment activities, including observation, formative assessment, and progress monitoring to support student development.
- Maintain accurate records of individual progress and contribute to reports and evaluations that inform teaching and support planning.
- Use assessment outcomes collaboratively with staff and families to refine learning goals and support strategies.
Parent & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build positive and supportive relationships with parents and carers, maintaining clear communication about student progress, needs, and strategies to support learning at home.
- Work alongside external agencies, therapists, and specialists as required to support students effectively.
- Support inclusive practices and advocate for students with additional needs within the school community.
Professional & Operational Responsibilities
- Contribute to maintaining high academic standards through lesson preparation, resource development, and curriculum adaptation.
- Support learning opportunities beyond the classroom in line with school policies, including trips, activities, and House system involvement.
- Support student wellbeing and physical needs, including the appropriate use of personal equipment and medication administration in line with school policy.
Policy, Safeguarding & Professional Development
- Ensure all Learning Support practice complies with school policies, safeguarding procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational developments and legislation related to SEND and inclusive education, applying this knowledge in classroom practice.
Pay: ₹450,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
