Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and streamline the company's overall construction operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry and be responsible for managing multiple projects, optimizing operational processes, coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and driving projects to successful completion within budget and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end operational activities across multiple construction projects.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Architects, Consultants, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, workflows, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and overall project performance.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
- Review project progress reports and provide strategic guidance to project teams.
- Manage procurement planning, material availability, equipment utilization, and vendor coordination.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, building codes, environmental standards, and workplace safety requirements.
- Monitor project costs, profitability, and operational KPIs.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate Project Managers, Site Engineers, and operational staff.
- Resolve operational challenges and support decision-making to maintain project momentum.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare operational reports and present performance updates to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Operations Management within the construction industry (Mandatory).
- Proven experience managing residential, commercial, or infrastructure construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project execution, procurement, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent knowledge of contract management, quality assurance, and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Excel, ERP systems, and project management software.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
