Liquid & Larder is a Sydney hospitality group behind Bistecca, The Gidley, Alfie's, Lottie, Bar Julius and The Rover. We've built a portfolio of market-leading brands and we're looking for a marketing consultant to help us execute the work that keeps them front of mind.
This is a hands-on role. Our brand direction and creative strategy are set in-house, and we need someone to carry the weight of the campaign work: designing the collateral, building and segmenting the emails, running the ads and writing the copy that ties it all together. If you have a strong point of view on how brands should be presented, we want to hear it, but the day-to-day is execution rather than direction.
We'd prefer to work with one person who can genuinely cover the ground rather than an agency team. If you're a capable one-man band, this role is built for you.
Most of the work can be done wherever suits you, but you'll be required at in person meetings from time to time, particularly during onboarding while you get to know our brands, our venues and our team.
What you'll be doing
Marketing coordination (the bulk of the role) Executing the marketing schedule across the group. Campaigns, promotions, mail-outs, website upkeep, award submissions and general brand management, with all touchpoints landing on time and on brand.
Graphic design Menus, EDMs, print and digital collateral, brand assets, merchandise, reports, banners and page design across all venues. You'll be producing a high volume of on-brand work to tight venue deadlines.
Digital Planning and running paid media across Google and Meta. Building campaigns, managing budgets and reporting on cost per click, cost per acquisition and cost per conversion.
Copywriting Compelling copy across every medium, internal and external. Campaign copy, EDMs, web, ads and venue collateral.
You'll also lend a hand on social media when campaigns call for it, though we have that hat covered.
What you'll need
- Hospitality marketing experience. You understand covers, seasonality, private dining, venue calendars and how quickly this industry moves.
- Expert-level SevenRooms email marketing. Not familiar with it, expert in it. Building and segmenting campaigns from the guest database is central to this role, and you'll have a track record of building real connections with guests through email, knowing what makes someone open, read and actually book.
- Proven digital advertising ability. Google and Meta campaigns you've built, run and reported on yourself.
- Design skills to match the brands. Our venues sit at the premium end of the Sydney market and the work needs to look like it.
- AI proficiency. You use AI tools as part of how you work, and you know where they genuinely speed things up and where they'd undermine the standard of the output.
- A view on brand equity. We're interested in how our brands are presented for the long term, not in chasing short-term wins. Bring us your thoughts on that.
