Full job description

Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer Intern

Department: IT Support
Location: Meerut
Duration: 3 Months
Stipend: [As per company policy / Performance-based]

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Desktop Support Engineer Intern to join. The intern will assist in providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Linux) and standard applications.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist in setting up new systems, user accounts, email configurations, and network access.
Support IT asset management, inventory tracking, and documentation.
Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups.
Coordinate with senior IT staff for escalated technical issues.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and data protection standards.

Eligibility Criteria

Pursuing or recently completed a degree in B.Tech / BCA / MCA / Diploma in IT, Dip-Hardware & Networking, Computer Science, or related field.
Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, and operating systems.
Familiarity with MS Office, email configuration, and troubleshooting techniques.
Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking fundamentals is preferred.
