Role Overview A Health Insurance Advisor at Niva Bupa acts as an independent professional and a trusted financial guide. The core of the role is bridging the gap between complex insurance products and the practical healthcare needs of clients. Rather than functioning as a traditional salesperson, the advisor evaluates client risks, customizes coverage solutions, and provides end-to-end support from the initial consultation through to claim settlement. Key Responsibilities Assessing Client Needs: Conduct detailed consultations to evaluate the specific health risks, lifestyle factors, and financial constraints of individuals, families, or corporate groups. Tailored Recommendations: Match clients with the most appropriate Niva Bupa health plans, customizing variables like the sum insured, family floater options, and necessary add-ons. Policy Clarification: Break down complex policy terms—including waiting periods, exclusions, co-payments, and premium structures—into clear, transparent, and jargon-free language. Digital Processing: Utilize Niva Bupa's exclusive UNO app to generate instant quotes, assist clients with digital application forms, upload required documentation, and track policy issuance. Claims Support: Act as a dependable ally during medical emergencies by guiding clients through cashless treatment protocols at network hospitals and assisting with reimbursement paperwork. Relationship Management: Foster long-term trust by proactively managing policy renewals, conducting periodic coverage reviews as a client's life stage changes, and providing consistent post-sale service. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to IRDAI (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India) guidelines and stay continually updated on market trends and new product launches. Required Skills & Competencies Active Listening & Communication: The ability to uncover exactly what a client is worried about and articulate complex insurance concepts simply. Empathy & Emotional Intelligence: Building trust by handling sensitive conversations regarding health, emergencies, and financial security with genuine care. Sales Acumen: Strong networking, prospecting, and relationship-building skills to independently grow and manage a client base. Digital Fluency: Comfort navigating mobile applications, tracking dashboards, and digital portals for day-to-day business operations. Eligibility: Completion of the mandatory IRDAI training and certification process. The Niva Bupa Ecosystem Advisors at Niva Bupa operate with significant operational independence while receiving structural support from the company: Uncapped Income & Renewal Protection: Advisors earn commissions on every new policy sold and build compounding passive income through commissions on yearly policy renewals. Dedicated Support: Every advisor is assigned a dedicated Manager to assist with complex client queries, operational bottlenecks, and business growth strategies. Location Independence: The digital-first infrastructure allows advisors to operate fully remotely, managing their entire book of business via their smartphone without being tied to a physical branch.
