Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Die Casting Operator to join our plant operations. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain high-pressure die-casting machines to produce high-quality metal components (typically aluminium rotor diecasting)
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation & Setup
- Operate die-casting machines, monitoring parameters like furnace temperature, cycle time, injection speed, and hydraulic pressure .
- Clean dies between production cycles, apply required lubricants or release agents to the die cavities, and clear away leftover flash or scrap material.
- Monitor the holding furnace and safely manage the transfer of molten metal manual ladling systems into the shot chamber.
Quality Control & Inspection
- Visual Inspection: Review freshly ejected parts for common casting defects such as porosity, cold shuts, cracks, or incomplete fills.
- Dimensional Verification: Use precision tools (calipers, micrometers, go/no-go gauges) to verify that finished components align with blueprint specifications and customer tolerance limits.
- Trimming & Finishing: Operate trim presses or hand tools to safely remove gates, runners, and excess flash from the completed castings.
Key Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills
- Die Casting Knowledge: Practical understanding of hot-chamber or cold-chamber die-casting processes and machinery.
- Measurement & Math: Skill in using standard shop measurement tools and performing basic mathematical checks to track part compliance.
- Defect Identification: Ability to spot mechanical and cosmetic issues in molded metal parts before they head downstream.
Soft Skills & Physical Requirements
- Thermal & Physical Stamina: Comfortable working in a loud, hot, and heavy industrial plant environment. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Exceptional Situational Awareness: High focus and caution required when handling or working in close proximity to molten metal .
Preferred Education & Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or technical trade equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing plant, foundry, metal casting, or injection molding environment is highly preferred.
- Certifications in forklift operation or overhead crane usage are an asset.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
