Role: Workday Analyst – Data Conversion
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Workday Analyst to support the Data Conversion team, responsible for migrating, transforming, and validating data into Workday systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong grounding in HCM or Finance modules, along with solid SQL and programming skills to handle complex data transformations.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Data Conversion & Migration
Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from legacy systems into Workday.
Perform data mapping, transformation, and validation for HCM or Financial data.
Support multiple data conversion cycles (mock loads, parallel, production).
✅ Data Analysis & Validation
Write and execute SQL queries for data extraction, reconciliation, and validation.
Perform:
Data quality checks
Data cleansing and enrichment
Reconciliation between source and target systems
Identify and resolve data discrepancies.
✅ Workday Data Tools & Processing
Work with:
EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder)
Data load templates (Workday)
Support inbound data loads and troubleshoot load errors.
✅ Solutioning & Requirements Understanding
Collaborate with functional teams to:
Understand business/data requirements
Define transformation rules and mappings
Provide practical solutions for data migration challenges
✅ Automation & Transformation
Leverage tools such as:
SQL scripts
Programming languages (Python, etc.)
Alteryx (preferred)
Automate repetitive transformation and validation processes.
✅ Testing & Support
Support:
System Integration Testing (SIT)
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Provide defect resolution and issue tracking during conversion cycles.
Required Skills & Experience
Functional Knowledge
Good understanding of:
Workday HCM modules (Core HR, Compensation, etc.)
OR
Workday Financials (GL, AP/AR, etc.)
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience in:
SQL (mandatory)
Data analysis and data manipulation
Basic to intermediate programming skills (Python or similar)
Data Conversion Expertise
Experience in:
Data mapping and transformation
Data migration lifecycle
Handling large datasets
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to Workday implementation projects
Experience with:
Alteryx for data transformation and automation
Workday EIBs / Studio (nice to have)
Understanding of data flow concepts
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE:
- Peoplesoft HCM or Fin Techno Functional
- B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA
