Role Overview
We are looking for a technically strong and commercially driven Sales Engineer (Mechanical Engineer) to manage key OEM accounts in the USA and Europe.
This role will act as the bridge between customers and manufacturing, ensuring smooth execution from RFQ to delivery, while actively driving new product development (NPD) and resolving technical challenges.
The role is based in Mumbai, with close coordination with our Jamnagar manufacturing facility. (Applicants must be current residents of Mumbai - between Churchgate - Borivali and CST - Thane/Vashi)
Key Responsibilities
1. OEM Account Management
- Manage relationships with international OEM customers (USA & Europe)
- Act as the primary point of contact for all techno-commercial communication
- Conduct regular updates with customers on:
- Order status
- Production progress
- Development timelines
- Build long-term relationships and identify growth opportunities
2. Techno-Commercial Execution
- Review RFQs, drawings, and technical specifications
- Coordinate internally to assess feasibility and manufacturing approach
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations
- Handle pricing discussions, timelines, and commercial negotiations
3. Internal & Vendor Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Production team at the Jamnagar factory
- Quality and Inspection teams
- External vendors
- Ensure smooth order execution from sampling to dispatch
- Track production and proactively flag delays or risks
4. New Product Development (NPD)
- Drive NPD projects from inquiry stage to sample approval
- Coordinate trials, prototyping, and customer feedback loops
- Work with manufacturing teams to optimize design and process
- Ensure timely submission of samples and documentation
5. Technical Issue Resolution
- Handle customer complaints, rejections, and technical queries
- Coordinate root cause analysis with factory teams
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented
- Communicate clearly and confidently with customers during issues
6. Jamnagar Coordination
- Visit the Jamnagar facility as required to:
- Review production status
- Align on development work
- Resolve bottlenecks with shopfloor teams
- Ensure alignment between customer expectations and plant execution
Required Skills & Experience
Technical
- Strong understanding of:
- Casting (sand/shell/gravity die)
- Forging
- CNC machining
- Surface finishing / plating
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with electrical or mechanical components preferred
Commercial
- Experience handling export customers (USA/Europe preferred)
- Strong costing skills
- Understanding of delivery commitments and customer expectations
Core Competencies
- Excellent communication skills (email + calls with international clients)

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience
- 2–5 years in techno-commercial / sales engineering role
- Experience in manufacturing/export-oriented companies preferred
Qualification
- Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering

What This Role Is Not
- Not a pure sales or marketing role
- Not limited to quoting — execution responsibility is critical
- Not suitable for candidates without technical depth or poor communication skills

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
