Full job description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales professional to lead our business development efforts in Patna, Bihar. This is a high-impact role designed for an individual who thrives on building relationships and closing deals, with a specific focus on penetrating the government sector. You will be responsible for driving revenue, building a local network, and establishing Future Bihar as a key partner for both government bodies and commercial enterprises in the region.

As a key member of the founding team, you will own the growth strategy for the region, leveraging our platform to create meaningful partnerships across sports, technology, and government services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Government Sales & Business Development (Primary Focus)

Drive Government Adoption: Lead the charge in securing contracts and partnerships with various government departments in Bihar, including but not limited to the Transport, Education, Construction Department, Sports Authorities, and other public sector entities.
Strategic Pitching: Develop and present compelling proposals to government officials, highlighting how Future Bihar’s solutions can improve efficiency, revenue collection (e.g., vehicle registration, permits, examination, connectivity, mobile apps, AI), and public service delivery.
Tender & Compliance Management: Navigate the government procurement process, including identifying relevant tenders, preparing bids, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
Stakeholder Mapping: Build and maintain a robust network of key decision-makers and influencers within the Bihar government to create a strong sales pipeline.

2. Commercial & Partner Sales

Business Development: Identify, pitch, and close new business prospects with corporate partners, sports federations, athletes, and brands in the Patna region.
Alliance Management: Own the end-to-end partnership lifecycle, from initial outreach and negotiation to contract fulfillment and relationship management.
Revenue Generation: Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, contributing directly to the company's growth and profitability.

3. Operational Execution

High-Volume Outreach: Conduct a high volume of outbound calls and meetings to generate interest and close deals.
Pipeline Management: Manage a robust sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasts and regular reports to senior leadership on revenue projections, market insights, and client feedback.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing) to ensure client objectives are met and to provide feedback for product improvements.

Ideal Profile

Experience: 3-7 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or key account management, with a proven track record of success in government sales.
Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the political and bureaucratic landscape in Bihar. Experience selling to or working with the Bihar Government, particularly the Transport Department, is a strong advantage.
Network: Existing connections with government officials, bureaucrats, and public sector decision-makers in Patna and across Bihar is highly desirable.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
