We are currently hiring for the following positions at Hotel Saffron Leaf:
Open Positions:Security Supervisor – Duties & Responsibilities
Department: Security
Reports To: Security Manager / Director of Security
1. Security Operations
- Supervise the security team and ensure effective security coverage throughout the hotel.
- Monitor all entry and exit points, guest areas, staff areas, parking, and back-of-house areas.
- Conduct regular security rounds and inspections of the hotel premises.
- Ensure all security posts are properly manned at all times.
- Brief security staff before every shift regarding duties, alerts, and special instructions.
2. Guest & Staff Safety
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and hotel property.
- Handle security-related guest complaints and incidents professionally.
- Monitor suspicious activities and take appropriate preventive action.
- Assist guests and employees during emergencies or security incidents.
3. Access Control
- Monitor staff, visitor, contractor, and vendor entry and exit.
- Ensure proper authorization before allowing access to restricted areas.
- Monitor staff movement through designated entrances.
- Maintain visitor and contractor records as required.
4. CCTV & Surveillance
- Monitor CCTV cameras regularly and ensure critical areas are under surveillance.
- Report suspicious activity or unusual incidents immediately.
- Ensure CCTV recordings are properly maintained as per hotel policy.
- Coordinate with the Security Manager regarding CCTV-related issues.
5. Incident Management
- Respond promptly to theft, fights, accidents, disturbances, missing property, and other security incidents.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and submit them to management.
- Preserve relevant evidence and information related to incidents.
- Coordinate with management and authorities when required.
6. Fire & Emergency Safety
- Respond immediately to fire alarms and emergency situations.
- Assist in evacuation procedures and ensure emergency exits remain accessible.
- Coordinate with the Engineering and relevant departments during emergencies.
- Ensure fire-fighting equipment and emergency equipment are accessible and properly maintained.
- Participate in fire drills and emergency preparedness exercises.
7. Key & Restricted Area Control
- Monitor control and movement of master keys and restricted-area keys.
- Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
- Report any lost or missing keys immediately.
- Maintain proper key-control records.
8. Lost & Found
- Ensure all lost-and-found items are properly recorded, secured, and handed over according to hotel SOP.
- Verify ownership before releasing items to guests or employees.
- Maintain proper documentation for lost-and-found cases.
9. Staff Supervision
- Allocate duties and posts to Security Officers/Guards.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming, and discipline of security personnel.
- Conduct regular briefings and training.
- Evaluate team performance and report issues to the Security Manager.
- Ensure proper shift handover between security teams.
10. Parking & Traffic Management
- Monitor hotel parking areas and control vehicle movement.
- Assist with VIP and management vehicle arrangements.
- Ensure emergency access routes remain clear.
- Monitor suspicious or unauthorized vehicles.
11. Coordination with Departments
- Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, HR, and other departments regarding security matters.
- Support management during VIP visits, events, functions, and high-occupancy periods.
- Maintain effective communication with all department heads.
12. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain security logs, occurrence books, visitor records, patrol records, and incident reports.
- Record important incidents and observations during each shift.
- Ensure proper shift handover and communication of pending matters.
- Submit daily reports to the Security Manager/Management.
13. Professional Standards
- Maintain high standards of discipline, alertness, grooming, and professional conduct.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding hotel operations, guests, and incidents.
- Follow hotel policies, security SOPs, and applicable safety requirements.
- Perform any other security-related duties assigned by the Security Manager or Hotel Management.
