Full job description

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and child-friendly Sports / Physical Education Teacher to join our kindergarten team. The ideal candidate will inspire young children to enjoy physical activity while developing their motor skills, coordination, teamwork, confidence, and healthy habits through fun and engaging activities.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and conduct age-appropriate physical education classes for children aged 2.5–6 years.
Organize games, obstacle courses, movement activities, yoga, dance warm-ups, and outdoor play.
Develop children's gross motor skills, balance, coordination, flexibility, and fitness.
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment during all physical activities.
Monitor children's participation and encourage every child to be actively involved.
Teach basic discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle habits.
Assist in organizing Annual Sports Day, fitness events, and other school activities.
Inspect sports equipment regularly and ensure it is used safely.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to support children's overall development.
Communicate with parents when required regarding children's physical development.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent qualification preferred.
Diploma or certification in Physical Education, Sports Coaching, Yoga, or Early Childhood Sports is an advantage.
Experience teaching preschool or primary school children is preferred.
Freshers with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with young children are also encouraged to apply.

Knowledge of child safety and first aid (preferred)
Creativity in designing fun physical activities
Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
Strong teamwork and organizational skills

Preferred Experience

Experience conducting Sports Day events and outdoor activities
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate physical exercises
Experience in yoga, aerobics, dance, or movement-based learning is an added advantage
