Full job description

Role Overview

The Commis II – Continental is responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of continental dishes while maintaining quality, hygiene, and presentation standards. The role supports senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and ensures timely food production.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Cooking

Assist in preparing and cooking continental dishes such as soups, salads, sauces, pasta, grills, and main courses.
Perform tasks like cutting, prepping, sauce preparation, and plating.
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation as per standards.
Support timely food production during service hours.

Kitchen Operations

Support the Chef de Partie in managing the continental section.
Ensure proper mise en place is ready before service.
Follow instructions from senior chefs for smooth operations.

Quality & Hygiene

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
Follow proper food storage and FIFO practices.
Keep workstations and equipment clean and organized.

Inventory & Coordination

Assist in stock management and ingredient storage.
Report shortages, spoilage, or damages to senior chefs.
Coordinate with team members for smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.
1–3 years of experience in continental kitchen operations.
Basic knowledge of continental cooking techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
