Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Head – Accounts to manage the company’s complete accounting functions. The candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, audits, budgeting, and supervision of the accounts team.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations.
Supervise and guide the Accounts team.
Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
Handle GST, TDS, TCS, income tax and other statutory compliances.
Ensure timely filing of GST returns, TDS returns and other applicable returns.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, billing, collections and payments.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Monitor bank transactions and fund requirements.
Prepare bank reconciliation statements and ensure proper ledger reconciliation.
Coordinate with CA, auditors, banks, consultants and statutory authorities.
Handle internal and statutory audit requirements.
Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.
Assist management in budgeting and costing.
Review purchase, sales, expense and payment documents for accounting accuracy.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
Monitor accounting software/ERP entries and maintain data accuracy.
Provide accounting reports to management whenever required.
Identify accounting discrepancies and take corrective action.
Ensure proper control over company expenses and accounting transactions.

Required Qualifications

B.Com / M.Com / MBA or equivalent qualification.
5–10 years of relevant experience in Accounts.
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, TCS, Income Tax and statutory compliance.
Experience in finalization of accounts and audit coordination.
Good knowledge of Tally / ERP / accounting software and MS Excel.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reporting.
Good analytical, communication and team-management skills.

Preferred Candidate

Experience in manufacturing, construction, infrastructure or precast industry will be preferred.
Should be capable of independently handling the complete accounts function.
Should have good leadership and decision-making abilities.
Should be organized, responsible and able to meet statutory deadlines.
