About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Big Data Trainer to join our training team in Velachery, Chennai. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Big Data technologies, Hadoop ecosystem tools, and Data Engineering concepts. The trainer will be responsible for delivering hands-on, industry-oriented training programs to students, fresh graduates, and working professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom and online training sessions on Big Data technologies.
- Teach Big Data fundamentals, architecture, and industry use cases.
- Deliver training on:
- Hadoop Ecosystem
- HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System)

- Apache Hive
- Apache Pig
- Apache Sqoop
- Apache Flume

- Data Warehousing Concepts
- Data Lakes and Modern Data Platforms
- Train students on data processing, transformation, and analytics workflows.
- Provide hands-on experience through real-time Big Data and Data Engineering projects.
- Create course materials, assignments, assessments, and project documentation.
- Conduct practical labs, workshops, and technical sessions.
- Guide students in developing industry-relevant projects and portfolios.
- Evaluate student performance and provide technical mentorship.
- Assist students with interview preparation, resume building, and career guidance.
- Stay updated with the latest Big Data, Cloud Data, and Data Engineering trends.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Hadoop and Big Data technologies.
- Proficiency in Apache Spark, PySpark, Hive, Kafka, and related tools.
- Good knowledge of SQL, database management, and data processing concepts.
- Experience with Linux commands and shell scripting.
- Understanding of Data Warehousing and ETL concepts.
- Knowledge of cloud-based Big Data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Python, Scala, or Java programming.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts through practical examples.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience as a Big Data Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or Technical Trainer.
- Prior teaching or corporate training experience preferred.
- Certifications in Hadoop, Spark, Cloud Data Engineering, AWS, Azure, or related technologies are an added advantage.
