Daily Operations:

Assist in the planning and execution of mining operations.
Oversee the drilling and blasting operations, ensuring adherence to safe practices.
Monitor the operation of equipment and ensure safe working conditions.

Safety and Compliance:

Conduct routine safety inspections to ensure that the mining site meets legal standards.
Enforce safety protocols among the team, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Report any safety hazards, incidents, or breaches to the supervisor immediately.

Equipment Handling:

Documentation and Reporting:

Record daily operational activities, including work completed and issues encountered.
Prepare reports on production and submit them to the supervisor for evaluation.
Assist in inventory management by tracking materials and tools used.

Team Collaboration:

Blasting Operations:

Assist the blaster in charge with loading, charging, and firing explosives following safety protocols.
Monitor and control access to the blasting area during operations.

Emergency Response:

Being prepared to respond to emergencies such as fires, accidents, or natural disasters. The Mines Foreman must ensure that emergency response plans are in place, personnel are trained in emergency procedures, and appropriate equipment and resources are readily available during the shift.
