School Librarian

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday to Saturday

Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and organized IB School Librarian to manage and develop the school library for a reputed educational institution in Bhubaneshwar. The ideal candidate should be passionate about books, student engagement, literacy programs, and maintaining an efficient learning resource center for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the school library
Organize, catalog, and maintain books, journals, and digital resources
Assist students and teachers in locating academic and reference materials
Promote reading habits through library activities, storytelling sessions, and reading programs
Maintain library records, issue/return systems, and inventory management
Coordinate with faculty to support curriculum-based resource requirements
Ensure a quiet, safe, and student-friendly library environment
Introduce and manage digital library tools and e-learning resources where applicable
Conduct periodic stock verification and procurement recommendations

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Library Science (B.Lib / M.Lib preferred)
Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a librarian, preferably in a IB/IGCSEschool
Knowledge of library management systems and cataloging methods
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Office and digital library tools
Ability to engage effectively with students and academic staff
Paid leaves and school holidays as per policy
Opportunity to contribute to student development and academic excellence

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
