Full job description

The PDI Incharge is responsible for ensuring that all new vehicles undergo a comprehensive Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) before delivery to customers. The role involves coordinating with the workshop, sales team, and stores to ensure vehicles are inspected, repaired (if required), cleaned, and delivered in perfect condition while maintaining manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform complete Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) as per manufacturer guidelines.
Inspect all new vehicles for mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic defects.
Ensure all accessories, tools, manuals, and documents are available before delivery.
Coordinate with the workshop to rectify defects identified during inspection.
Verify vehicle fluid levels, tyre pressure, battery condition, lights, brakes, and safety features.
Ensure vehicles are washed, cleaned, polished, and ready for customer delivery.
Maintain PDI checklists and inspection records accurately.
Coordinate with the Sales Department regarding delivery schedules.
Ensure warranty activation and required documentation are completed.
Report recurring quality issues to the Service Manager and OEM.
Monitor vehicle movement within the yard and PDI area.
Ensure compliance with OEM quality standards and dealership SOPs.
Maintain housekeeping and safety in the PDI area.
Assist during vehicle stock audits and inventory verification.
Train technicians on updated PDI procedures whenever required.

Required Qualifications

Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or ITI (Motor Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic).
2–5 years of experience in automobile service or vehicle inspection.
Experience in commercial vehicle dealerships is preferred.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle systems.
Knowledge of OEM PDI procedures.
Good diagnostic and inspection skills.
Ability to identify manufacturing defects.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, ERP/DMS).
Good communication and coordination skills.
Attention to detail.
Time management and organizational skills.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per day

Work Location: In person
